Over 130 years ago a group of men set up a gardening club in the Queens Hotel on Manchester Road Denton. At some point they fell out with the landlord and 4 of the men relocated to a house across the road to continue their club. As history shows this then went on to become Denton West End Working Mens' Club. Both the Queens Hotel and the former West End club were demolished for the motorway in 1978 and the club is now at a second location on Grosvenor Street Denton M34 3WN.

Those 4 men will not have had any idea that the club would survive so long and be an important part of the community.

Members and committee are proud of the club. It is a friendly place to visit with a well stocked bar serving low priced drinks.

Every Saturday and Sunday night we have a concert . Saturday night consists of two acts which are supported by a compere, organist and drummer. Sunday night acts are self contained.

If you do not wish to use the concert room ( £2 for members and £3 for guests) then you are welcome to use the lounge or games room free of charge.

We host a Rock and Roll club on the last Friday of every month. Guests travel from far and wide to enjoy what is always a popular night.

Second Tuesday of the month sees Tony Greenwood big band sounds entertain both members and guests.

We hire out the concert room on Friday evenings or Sunday afternoons. The lounge is available to hire Tuesday to Friday evenings or Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

You do not have to be a member to visit the club but if you wish to do so you can join for just £12 per year. Please call in and see for yourself how nice it is - forget the old stigma of working mens 'clubs - we assure you we are different !!!!!!
